Four bikes met at Panera Bread Hunt Valley for a short Mother's Day Ride. We traversed the rolling hills of Baltimore County passing farms, cows, horses and the cityscape of Baltimore including the Johns Hopkins campus through the inner harbor and Federal Hill on our way to Fort McHenry. As we explored the ramparts we pondered the battle of 1814 and the writing of our Star Spangled Banner. Some headed home for the day's festivities while Richard and I, Mike and Lisa lingered at the city cafe enjoying brunch and a leisurely ride home.
The next ride is Sunday June 14th. We will be heading to Greenbelt to see the National Wildlife Sanctuary. Meet at Panera at 9:30 a.m. Be prepared for a two hour ride with time to view the educational center there and perhaps a tram ride through the park. If time permits we will stop at Double T diner in Ellicott City on the way home.
Also that weekend is the Carroll County Bike Fest. Richard and I are going to hear one of the bands on June 13th. Anyone is welcome to join us. Let us know.
